As we discuss the history of Yellow Fever in 1793 you will take notes.

Facebook Page
Using the template provided, create a Facebook page for a main character. This will be a continuous project, you will add more to your page as the story progresses.
Wall:
You will have 9 spaces for either wall posts or status updates. Start your posts/ status updates at the bottom of the page so you will have the 12th one (most recent) being at the top. Five of the posts need to be direct quotes from the book. Include the dates of the posts.
Photo:
Draw a picture of what you think the character looks like. If the book describes the character then you must go by the description.
Information:
Include any information about the character that the author gives. This may include but not limited to age, gender, interest, location, relationship status.
Friends:
Who is friends with your character? Include at least 3 friends. You may draw thumbnail pictures of the friends in the box provided or you can opt to just write the names of the friends.
ü Advertisement:
What is something that would be advertised in 1793? Create an advertisment for a product or service that your character would be interested in using.
You will staple these pages into your journal and I will continuously check your progress as you make updates.

Using the internet, research Yellow Fever and locate where it exists today. Color and label the world map in the areas where it still exists on a world map. Find out the statistics of death caused from the disease in the world annually. Once you have that number compare it with another mosquito borne disease. Ask a classmate that has researched about Dengue, West Nile, Malaria.
